Data Agreement

As a user of the Footlight CMS

I understand that I am optimizing the reuse of information and metadata about events, people, places and organizations in arts and culture.

I understand that optimizing reuse increases the capacity of information and metadata to be included in the widest number of search engines, recommendation systems, third-party listings and other platforms available on the Web. This optimization impacts online presence and discoverability.

I understand that public metadata, event descriptions and promotional images added to the Footlight CMS can be freely and openly reshared with the linked open data repository Artsdata.ca.

I understand that Artsdata.ca is an open resource that can be accessed by anyone and any machine. Artsdata is a digital ecosystem where potential opportunities that are available on the Internet are more equitably distributed to a broader, more diverse community.
